SEPARATION
(thru a child's eyes)
He said a miracle is something only God can do,
and he believes it with all of his mind,
his confidence dwells deep in the heart,
where faith is never blind.
I often see his heart growing cold,
as he becomes more accustomed to life,
where troubles increase and promises are broken,
and separation has created great strife.
I try to teach him that prayer is the answer,
it's the power of God to keep hoping,
but when you are hurt and feeling rejected,
it's enough to maintain and keep coping.
A faith that is weak, is like a wave in the ocean,
it can drift far away from the shoreline,
but he has no doubt of what he hopes for
and he knows God makes everything right in time.
How I need his faith, it's so simple and pure,
it's a faith that's the smallest of seeds,
Knowing everything's possible
for those who believe,
it is the faith of a child indeed.
Lord I give this little one into your arms,
incline him unto your ways,
help him to keep believing in miracles,
especially for us when he prays!
THE FRAGRANCE OF LIFE
(2 Corinthians 2:14)
Sometimes I can barely wait
to see my new home in the sky,
anxiously, I long for that date,
when I am changed in the "twinkling of an eye".
I have yearned now for so many years
to see my family and my Lord,
This world has caused me too many tears,
now my spirit is ready to soar.
To the land of milk and honey,
where the light will always shine
Living waters without cost or money,
a brand new body, with a rejuvenated mind.
Jesus, help me to spend this day
with a heart that won't lose hope,
though outwardly I waste away,
inwardly your spirit helps me cope.
Today I'll remember to pass along
the lessons that I have learned.
Then leaving this world, my heart in song,
free at last, with no more concern.
So I won't fix my eyes upon the time,
that they cannot possibly see,
for what they view is passing by,
But heaven will be for all eternity.
This is the day that you have made
it's not only mine to spend,
together I'll put my hands to pray
and say "THANK YOU", for my true friend.
