Why is there no peace on earth?
and
Will there ever be?
We pray, we ask for world peace.
Yet we know that what we give is what we will receive....multiplied.
Why can't countries get along with one another?
Why can't people get along with one another?
Why can't families and friends get along with one another?
PEACE ON EARTH, GOODWILL TOWARD MEN
We sing the words,
At Christmas time,
But we don't know what it means.
Kids are crying; Men are lost,
We all want more,
What does it cost?
God give me this and give me that,
I'm searching, can't you see?
World peace we seek,
Or so we say.
And then we fight some more.
Until each soul finds peace within,
Our world will want forevermore.
It's up to you,
It's up to me,
It's up to everyone
TO SEARCH WITHIN
Make peace with self,
Then filled with love and inner peace
AFFIRM responsibility,
World Peace is really up to me.
I'm just one person,
Only One,
The Power of One
Has just begun.
We are the children of our world,
And we can make it better,
Instead of blaming politics or criminals or others,
Look within
and find the peace
